De Film als een Kroket is a dutch podcast in which VPRO host Adeline van Lier and her daughter discusses Dutch movies from the past century.
In eight podcast episodes Adeline discusses Dutch movies from the past century with co-host & daughter Max Mijs Brouwer. Eight movies in which the spirit of that time clearly resonates, but which, in 2019, are still able to provoke, challenge, move and amaze the younger generation. This podcast is created by radio producer Adeline Van Lier and film director Brigit Hillenius in collaboration with EYE Filmmuseum and Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid. We have created a brand identity and translated this into the website for the Dutch podcast 'De Film als een kroket'.

Yellow as mustard
We went for a high contrast color palette; a black background (films should be watched in the dark) with some big letters in mustard yellow because a kroket should always be eaten with mustard.


Splashing interactions
The website's tone of voice had to be same as the as the podcast itself: casual and accessible. That's why for the homepage main-interaction we created a kroket splashing into pieces, revealing the places where you can listen to the podcast.
Branded content
Besides the website we also created the album cover. The faces of podcast host Adeline and co-host Max Mijs and the big mostard yellow letters makes the cover stand out in the all the different podcast apps.
